Tracy’s Approach to Therapy
Tracy has a three-fold approach to therapy. First, he has the fundamental belief that all clients have strengths, resources and resiliencies that enable them to overcome challenging situations. His approach is to identify these qualities and help you utilize them in treatment. Second, he believes that if he does his job well, you should not be in therapy for long periods of time. Meaning, through education (handouts, instruction, etc.) he will help you achieve the skills needed to solve current and future problems. Finally, he helps you identify and set treatment strategies and goals for therapy. These strategies and goals will be clear, logical, and practical. He has a no nonsense approach to therapy, emphasizing practical solutions and guidance.
Marriage Counseling Payment Considerations
Many couples request my services for marriage counseling, communicational skills training, and sexual enhancement. A common question is "Should we use our insurance for these problems" or "Will my insurance cover marriage counseling." I have highlighted the facts to consider when weighing the use of insurance or self paying.
