About Marne Wine
Marne is a licensed professional counselor, specializing in family and couple counseling. Although Marne works with a variety of individual and couple’s issues, her primary emphasis is on sexual health. She has been trained in multiple models of sexual intimacy enhancement and enjoys working with both men and women. Marne provides a safe, professional environment for clients to explore the sensitive topic of sexuality. She also works closely with physicians and physical therapists in an integrative team approach to ensure the client receives the best care possible.
Marne’s Background: Pronounced “Marnie”, Ms. Wine received her master’s degree in counseling/psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She was the in-house marriage and family therapist for Lockheed-Martin’s Employee Assistance Program from 1994 -1998. In that capacity, Marne was responsible for assessment, referrals, counseling and case-management for clients experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, developmental transitions, grief, workplace issues, eldercare, crisis trauma, positive drug tests, threats to violence in the workplace and coping with change for transferred and downsized employees. She coordinated Lunch & Learn seminars for employees and facilitated men’s groups. She acted as liaison between employees/families and managed care groups for continuity of care. Marne opened her private practice in 1998, specializing in sex therapy.

Marne’s Approach to Therapy
Marne uses cognitive behavioral and differentiation approaches to therapy. Most clients are expected to learn “anxiety modulation” within the context of their current relationships. In this way, clients learn when and how to stand up for themselves. They also learn ways to respond to the conflicts and stressors in their lives, rather than react in a non-controlled manner.

Approach to Therapy
An eclectic therapist using brief and solution focused techniques, as well as cognitive-behavioral and pyschodynamic approaches. Collaborative, interactive syle. Chuck often assigns tasks and readings, outside of the therapy setting, specifically designed for the issues that you are dealing with. He is available for diagnostic and treatment planning consultations, and provides education about mental disorders for family members, as needed. Mr. Pitte works with individuals over the age of 14, and also provides marital/couples counseling.
